FRIDAY ADVENTURE HIKES
A long-standing tradition at Colorado Backcountry, on Friday we explore! Since 2006, we hike somewhere new each week. If you want to get to know the nooks and crannies of Gunnison County, then join us for a Friday Hike.
CRESTED BUTTE TO ASPEN
The pilgrimage between two of Colorado’s most well-known mountain towns climbs up and over West Maroon Pass. Everyone wants to do this hike, and it’s no secret why. The dramatic landscape provides spectacular views of the central Elk Mountain Range. If wildflowers are your thing, well then look no further than the world-class meadows along this route.

With hundreds of named and unnamed peaks around the Elk, West Elk, Sawatch, Fossil Ridge, Ruby Range, and Ragged Mountains, there’s a lifetime of alpine explorations right in our backyard. WILDFLOWER TOURS
Crested Butte is Colorado Wildflower Capitol for good reason. Flowers bloom from April through August. Our team of naturalists can show the best bloom on any given day. Private tours range from gentle stroll to far-flung escapades along alpine ridges, and everything in between.
