Monarch Pass
Guided Mountain Biking
Shuttle, Shuttle, Shuttle
So you like to shuttle, do you? Monarch Pass is home to Colorado’s best vehicle-supported guided mountain bike riding. From the summits of Monarch or Marshall Passes, the Crest Trail forms the spine of the trail network, then no less than 7 fabulous variations plunge to either side of the Continental Divide to the valleys below.
This zone tends to open by mid to late June, with great riding through September. A strong enduro-minded crew might pull off two shuttles in a day, or for the all-day XC epic consider the “Whole Crest Trail.”

You all were fantastic. Thank you! And that was the best trail ever.
Mike, Georgia

Not For The Timid
Monarch isn’t the place for timid riders, but for downhill connoisseurs seeking a less demanding alternative to Crested Butte’s long climbs, Monarch Pass is perfect. You’ll still gasp for air while you pedal out the ride, but don’t worry, we’re not in a hurry. Bring your enduro bike, your pads, and get stoked for some challenging, rough, long, and fast descents.
